This program is designed for graduate students seeking:

  • to transition into leadership positions or move into specific areas such as event planning, hotel management, or sustainable tourism
  • to gain new qualifications without committing to a full degree program
  • to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities in hospitality and tourism, including event planning, boutique hotels, travel agencies, and sustainable tourism businesses, by gaining foundational knowledge essential for starting and managing successful ventures

The PGC Program in Hospitality and Tourism Management can be used as a pathway toward CSUSB’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. Students who successfully complete their PGC program can apply their twelve (12) PGC credits to the MBA program. However, PGC graduates are not automatically admitted to the MBA program; they must apply separately to the program and meet its academic and other requirements.
