Post-Graduate Certificate Programs

CSUSB’s Post-Graduate Certificate (PCG) Programs will be offered in a cohort system for domestic and international students, utilizing a fully in-person format. Students will take four (4) 3-semester unit courses: two in Fall semester and two in Spring semester (9 months total). After completing both semesters (12 units total), international PGC students can use the federal Optional Practical Training (OPT) program to work for one year in the USA without any visa sponsorship. Furthermore, PGC graduates can apply their 12 units to relevant academic master’s programs at CSUSB, enabling them to complete a master’s degree in one year instead of two, depending on the total remaining units for the designated MA or MS degree. Students who go on to complete a master’s degree at CSUSB can qualify for an additional OPT opportunity.

Students who successfully complete a PGC program and want to pursue their master’s degree at CSUSB must apply to the relevant master’s program, and they must meet the program’s academic and other requirements to be admitted to respective master’s programs. PGC graduates will not be automatically admitted to the associated master’s program. Please visit the individual PGC program pages to learn more about the associated master’s programs and their specific admission requirements!
