Curriculum Roadmap
The 12-Month Accelerated MA TESOL program at CSUSB offers a comprehensive and intensive curriculum designed to equip students with essential teaching skills and knowledge. The program is divided into three terms: Fall, Spring, and Summer. The Fall and Spring semester is split into two intensive 8-week sessions.
In Fall, students begin with graduate writing and technology-enhanced language learning, followed by research and English structure studies. Spring focuses on listening, speaking, and cross-cultural teaching methods, culminating in principles and fieldwork in TESOL. The program concludes in the Summer with a focus on literacy and a comprehensive exam, preparing graduates for advanced roles in language education.
