Sport Psychology Lab

Sport Psychology Lab

The Sport Psychology Lab at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) is housed within the Department of Kinesiology and explores the intersection of psychology, technology, and human performance. The lab focuses on two primary research areas: examining how technology influences exercise behavior and engagement and investigating the psychological demands of motorsports. Through innovative studies, the lab seeks to understand how digital tools, virtual environments, and wearable technology can enhance motivation and adherence to physical activity. Simultaneously, it delves into the mental resilience, cognitive load, and decision-making processes required in high-performance motorsport environments.

Led by Dr. Chris Hill, the lab provides a space for students and researchers interested in the psychological factors that drive athletic and exercise performance. By bridging the gap between technology and sport psychology, the lab contributes valuable insights to both academia and applied practice. Whether you're interested in studying the motivational effects of fitness apps or the resilience required for elite racing, the lab offers opportunities for collaboration and exploration.
