"Cash Handling Location Application & CashNet Department Deposit (Micro-Session)" facilitated by Mimi Badulis & Claudia Enriquez" Arm yourself with the knowledge to keep your department in compliance with Cash Handling. In this session, learn about CashNet’s Departmental Deposit function as well as key information to help your department set up and maintain a Cash Handling location. CashNet’s Departmental Deposit function eliminates the need to maintain a separate log or Excel file for your deposit, as well as the need to include an itemized worksheet with your departmental cash transmittal. "Cherwell Accounting Forms (Micro-Session)" facilitated by Eliana Nguyen: Make the completion of accounting forms a breeze for you and your department by utilizing a self-service portal to submit your requests! In this session, discover how the new Accounting Forms Submission system utilizes Cherwell to improve your form submission experience. This session will include a live demo of the platform and overview of the process.
Creative Brain Training
A program developed by CSUSB alumnus and fellow Coyote, Diego Irigoyen, Creative Brain Training aides in improving your creative thinking, performance skills and mental health by focusing on three practices: conscious breathing, ambidextrous development, and art making. These three elements assist in creating a balanced, chemical wellbeing where each practice is based on concepts in neuroplasticity and helps to improve and maintain your mental health. Attend this session to learn how to integrate these elements and reap their benefits in your professional and personal life.
CSUSB Branding 101: We Define the Future
An introduction to CSUSB's brand, We Define the Future. Learn how we landed on We Define the Future, what makes up CSUSB's brand and how you contribute to it on a daily basis. Learn what branding resources are available to you, how to apply them to your daily work, and how to request help when needed. Enterprise Data Management
The creation of a single version of the truth and managing the quality of its data is a problem for almost every enterprise. Thus, sound enterprise practices in the management and governance of master data directly contribute to the success of the organization. Mismanagement of these practices and lack of master data governance pose the highest risk. In this session, attendees will understand the purpose and needs of Enterprise Data Management, learn how to classify enterprise data, and practice how to safeguard data.

Pronouns Matter and Beyond!
The act of assuming about gender (even if correct) sends a potentially harmful message -- that people must look a certain way to demonstrate the gender that they are or are not. Using someone’s correct personal pronouns is a way to respect them and create an inclusive environment, just as using a person’s name can be a way to respect them. Let's talk about pronouns and how we can be more inclusive and dispel the notion that intersex, transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming people do not or should not exist.

Remote Work Ergonomics
This past year, many CSUSB colleagues have had to improvise their “home offices” resulting in challenging setups. An improper workstation setup at home can cause awkward posture which can increase the risk for ergonomic-related injuries. In this session, learn how to set-up your remote workstation to prevent ergonomic-related injuries through the following topics: identify adjustments to your workstation to improve ergonomics, recognize when to make ergonomic adjustments, discover common household items to assist in aligning your remote workstation, learn helpful tips to improve remote ergonomics and overall wellness through the use of micro-breaks.

Supporting First-Generation College Students in Higher Education
Dr. Rebecca Covarrubias, Associate Professor of Psychology at UC Santa Cruz will share her research on how institutional values of independence ignore the familial commitments of low-income, first-gen students of color and consequently undermine their well-being and performance, especially during the transition to college. By the end of this session, CSUSB employees will be able to identify two ways to increase the visibility of their intersectional identities to help increase students sense of belonging, explain how first-generation student experiences differ from continuing generation students, and determine which practices, policies and programs can be adopted at CSUSB to better support first-generation students.

Breakout session featured at Employee Development Days (EDD) 2020. As higher education professionals, embracing the diversity of our students is important. This interactive workshop is filled with student testimonies and vignettes to help illustrate the strategies you can use to help support undocumented students and their families. Olivia provides workshop participants with a brief overview of immigration policies at the state and federal level. Furthermore, participants will learn ways in which they can take the lead in collaborating with the Undocumented Student Resource Centers on college campuses and in the region.
