To be considered for Summer aid, you must do the following:
- Be admitted to CSUSB in an eligible degree program during the summer and enrolled in at least one unit.
- Have a Complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Dream Act application on file by June 15th. to ensure financial aid eligibility for summer can be determined. The FAFSA application deadline is June 30
The awarding process will begin up to four weeks after enrollment begins. The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships will determine if you are eligible for summer aid. Notification of eligibility will be sent by email, and your award can be viewed via MyCoyote.
You are responsible for paying all or a portion of your summer tuition fees if either of the two conditions occur:
- If your summer award is not sufficient to pay your full fees, then you must pay the balance by the published drop dates.
- If you do not qualify for any type of summer financial aid, you are responsible for paying by the published drop dates.
Financial aid disbursements are determined by the total number of units enrolled. Grants will be disbursed after Spring 2025 Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) is evaluated and loans will be disbursed during the 1st week of July, based on 6 units of enrollment. You must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). See SAP Policy for more information.
You must be enrolled in at least one unit for SUG.
If you withdraw during the summer term, you may be required to repay financial aid funds.
Summer aid is limited. If your aid is not enough to cover both tuition fees and campus housing costs, then you are responsible for paying the balance.
