Criminology and Criminal Justice Program Academic Advising
- Criminal Justice is an impacted major with GPA entry requirement. The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice will determine entry standards annually based on enrollments.
- First-time Freshman wishing to change their major/minor to Pre-CJUS must have completed:
- at least 1 year (24 units) at CSUSB
- 2 of the following: GE English, Communication, Critical Thinking, or Math
- and must have at least a 2.75 overall GPA
- Transfer students wishing to change their major/minor to Pre-CJUS must have completed:
- at least 1 full-time equivalent semester (12 units) at CSUSB
- and must have at least a 2.75 CSUSB GPA
- If you meet these criteria, please submit your Change of Major/Minor request through myCoyote Student Center.
- Please note, students may not major in Intelligence & Crime Analysis (ICA), and minor in Criminal Justice (CJUS).
All students should schedule regular meetings with academic advisors. Advisors are trained and prepared to help you select classes, plan a semester schedule, and propose long term education plans tailored to meet your needs.
