Watson College Empowers Elementary Teachers with NGSS Summer Institute

The Watson College of Education at CSUSB successfully concluded its Summer Institute for elementary teachers focused on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Held from June 3rd to 6th, 2024, this intensive four-day program brought together TK-3rd grade educators from the San Bernardino City Unified School District for an enriching professional development experience.

The institute provided a dynamic learning environment where teachers delved into the intricacies of NGSS, enhanced their science content knowledge, and explored innovative pedagogical approaches. Participants engaged in collaborative activities, curriculum redesign workshops, and discussions on culturally relevant teaching practices.
