The sunflowers classroom offers a variety of experiences for children from around 21 months to 36 months of age (to "move up" to the next classroom, our center uses a philosophy that looks at the individual needs and development of each child rather than a strict age; because we are an infant/toddler center, children cannot attend the center once they are 3 years of age). This classroom follows a consistent daily routine and the schedule is designed to balance structure and free choice, active and quiet times. This classroom includes learning centers for pretend play, art, discovery/science, books/reading, sensory activities, gross motor activities, and manipulative toys that encourage fine motor development. The adult child ratio for this classroom is 1:6.
