Santos Manuel Student Union

Over 40 students traveled from colleges throughout the U.S. to attend the annual Institute for Leadership Education and Development, where they participated in group sessions and examined the complexities of leadership in the real world.

The Association of College Union International’s (ACUI) annual Institute for Leadership Education and Development was held at CSUSB’s Santos Manuel Student Union North from July 15-18. Students engaged in ACUI community building and leadership development, which included engaging activities and lively discussions.

Books are given away at the 2019 Multicultural Book and Family Festival at CSUSB. The festival will return to the university on May 11.

The university is getting a head start on the annual celebration of its Asian, Pacific Islander and South Asian communities, with events and programs revolving around the theme, “Uplifting Identities: Sharing Our History.”

The summit on March 23 was an event to host conversations with state, federal and tribal governments and examine institutional operations, pedagogical commitments and cultural responsivity to address the voices and needs of American Indian and Indigenous students in post-secondary access, inclusivity and preparedness.

James Ramos (Serrano/Cahuilla), the state Assembly member representing San Bernardino and a CSUSB alumnus, will be one of the speakers at the Native American/Indigenous Education Summit.
