The Visual Resource Center (VRC) provides reference help and facilitates access to art, art history, design and visual studies resources for teaching, learning, and research in the Department of Art & Design.
All of our students, faculty, and staff also benefit from the VRC's ever-growing collection of study resources, and from its new Innovative Materials Collection. The VRC houses not only thousands of art and design specialist books, magazines, and journals, plus many curated online resources specific to our curricula, but students can now study hundreds of carefully selected samples of art- and design-making materials.
The VRC also has powerful iMacs, laptops, and iPad Pros, with software and other resources for students, as well as other equipment that can be checked out.
The VRC also provides critical support for all students as they learn visual literacy, material literacy, digital and information literacy, research methods, academic conventions, as well as software training and other workshops specially tailored for our students' needs.
Please explore our resources on our website and do not hesitate to contact us for further help with your art, art history, and design research.
