Meet the Board

Heather Hopkins, Chair
Class of '08 & '19
Heather Hopkins began her journey with CSUSB as an undergraduate in the Liberal Studies Multiple-Subject Credentialing program, graduating in 2008 with her bachelor's degree. During her undergraduate years, she worked as a Student Assistant for Information Technology and also served in several leadership roles within her Greek organization and honor societies. In 2012 she was hired on full-time as an Operations Specialist with the Telecommunications Department, where she has also assumed the role of University Cellular Accounts Administrator. She completed her Masters of Business Administration in Fall 2019, making her an alumna twice over. Always looking to invest in her own professional development, she completed the Finance Career Pathways program offered by the Staff Development Center in January 2020. Besides serving on the FSAC Board, she also serves as the ITS representative for the Campus Fee Advisory Committee. Always willing to help where she can. She has volunteered for Grad Days, donated to the Obershaw DEN and Children Center, and serves as a planning committee member for the 2021 Employee Development Days. She is a Coyote for Life and bleeds Blue & Black!
Away from CSUSB, she is involved in NHRA Drag racing, enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and loves baking.

Shontel Zamora, Vice Chair
Class of '08 & '17
Events Analyst, Parking & Transportation
I have worked at CSUSB since 2005 when I started as a Student Assistant for the Faculty/Student Mentoring Program. Since then I have also worked as a Student Assistant for Commuter Services, Information Services, and Parking Services. During my time at CSUSB I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice with a minor in Pre-Law and a Paralegal Certificate. I continued my education by obtaining me Master's Degree in Public Administration. Overall, CSUSB has been a huge part of my life for nearly 14 years and I can't picture my life any other way! Go 'Yotes!

Michelle Fuller, Treasurer
Class of ’96 and soon ‘20
Michelle Fuller is the Financial & Administrative Analyst for the College of Arts & Letters since 2014. She started her career at CSUSB in 2007, working for the University Enterprises Corporation as an Accounting Technician II/Meal Plan Coordinator and in 2012, worked for the Office of Sponsored Programs as a Research Specialist. Throughout her years of service, Michelle has earned a Team Achievement Award for SOAR and an Outstanding Service Award from the Administrative & Finance Department.
Additionally, she acquired her BA in Administration with an Accounting concentration and is in the final stretch of obtaining her MBA. During her spare time, she enjoys exercising, reading, relaxing at home, and watching her son play baseball. She is motivated to serve and contribute to the success of CSUSB, her home away from home.

Donal Galdamez
Class of ’18
Donal Galdamez currently serves as an Events Coordinator in the Special Events and Guest Services Department. His CSUSB adventure at CSUSB began in 2013 as an undergraduate student where he chose to make the most of his campus participation and later became staff. As a student he worked in the Recreation and Wellness department, Special Events and Guest Services, Orientation and First-year Experience and also served on the ASI Board of Directors. Working on campus allowed Donal to network and meet mentors who helped him advance his personal and professional development. Donal began his full-time career in April 2018 before completing his Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice in June 2018. Not only was Donal a first-generation student, he also gained his citizenship while attending college and working multiple jobs to support his son. Donal enjoys working at CSUSB and is happy to be a part of the FASC board; he feels this is an excellent opportunity to give back to CSUSB and engage with the campus community that fostered his personal and professional advances.

Aurora Vilchis
Class of ’08 & ‘13
Aurora Vilchis began her journey at CSUSB as an undergraduate student majoring in Sociology with a minor in Chicano/a studies. Her first employment opportunity at CSUSB was as a student assistant during her freshman year and then became a full-time employee just prior to earning her bachelor’s. Aurora also earned her master’s degree and became an alumna for a second time. Earning her Master of Science in Education, Counseling and Guidance degree allowed her to advance in her professional life; she has had the opportunity to work in various roles at CSUSB. Giving back to CSUSB is important to Aurora; she enjoys volunteering her time in university organizations such as the Association of Latino Faculty, Staff and Students (ALFSS), Latino Education Advocacy Days (LEAD) and is very excited to serve on the board for the Faculty/Staff Alumni Chapter. Aurora currently works in Undergraduate Studies and is the Coordinator for the Early Start and Coyote First STEP program, which supports incoming first time freshman in a summer program designed to better prepare them in math and English. Aurora is enrolled in CSUSB’s doctoral program in Educational Leadership; she plans to complete her program in December of 2019.

Patrick Flaherty
Class of '78 & '85
Patrick Flaherty is currently a Lecturer with the Department of Management. Patrick received his BA and his MBA from CSUSB. Patrick is also currently an Adjunct Professor with Chapman University and California Baptist University. Patrick has over 20 years in the Human Resources outsourcing industry and recently founded Inland Empire HR, a HR Consultancy firm in the Inland Empire. IEHR focuses on small-to-medium sized companies, assisting them in compliance issues, employment relationship direction and other areas critical to building the HR Strategy. Patrick is an avid bowler and he loves to travel.

Lonelle Minesinger
Class of '12 & '16
Operations Specialist, ITS – Telecommunications & Network Services
Lonelle has served as a full time employee at CSUSB since November of 2000 and is currently working as an Operations Specialist out of the famous world-class customer service department of Information and Technology Services (specially in Telecommunications and Network Services). She has graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in June 2009 and also received a Master’s Degree in 2012. She has served as a Girl Scout Leader for more than 8 years and loves to volunteer in both of her children’s classes. Lonelle continues to serve the campus she loves by applying her knowledge and expertise to the Faculty/Staff Alumni Chapter Board at CSUSB.

Lorena Segovia
Class of '01 & '11
Lorena Segovia works full-time as an Academic Advisor for the Criminal Justice Program for the Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) under the College of Extended and Global Education. Lorena works to help provide learning opportunities for individuals at all stages of life by helping them achieve their education goals through flexible schedules and financially efficient programs. She also strives to make the campus a safer place as she volunteers to actively serve with the Emergency Evacuation Team for first-time campus as an Area Marshal. She loves spending time time with family and friends and enjoys the outdoors. She is a very accomplished runner as she has completed an array of marathons over several years, but above all is an avid football fan always rooting for her #1 team the San Francisco 49ers.
