If tutoring is not offered for your course through the S3 or ASUA Tutoring Center, you have the option to seek help through Knack's Extended Tutoring Network.
CSUSB has partnered with the Knack Tutoring Platform, which provides additional opportunities to seek tutoring assistance.
To request a tutor, please follow the steps listed below:
1. Log-in to your Knack account. If you do not have an account, click the "Appointment Portal" link below to go to Knack's page and create your Knack account. Once you have created your account, return to this page for the steps to request a Knack tutor.
1. After logging into Knack, you will load into your student profile page.
2. On your profile page, find the button labeled, "Request An On-Demand Session" and click on it.
3. After clicking, you will be sent to the Extended Tutoring Network where you will need to provide as much detail as possible so that you can be matched with the correct tutor.
4. You will be asked to provide the course name and number and what topics/areas you need help with.
5. A tutor in the Extended Network will receive your request and contact you to set up a tutoring session.
FOR A SINGLE QUESTION AND NOT A FULL TUTORING SESSION:
1. Similar to the above steps, log-in to your Knack account.
2. Click "Submit a Question or Paper" to have a question answered instead of going through an entire tutoring session.
