Admission to the University
Prior to being admitted to any of the Watson College of Education masters or credential programs, applicants must be admitted to the university using CSUApply, as an unclassified graduate student. Please check with Graduate Studies for university application deadlines.
What is Cal State Apply?
Cal State Apply is a website designed to help students and their families learn about the California State University (CSU) system. The CSU is comprised of 23 excellent campuses. Cal State Apply assists students in planning for college, in selecting the appropriate CSU campus to attend, in planning how to finance their education, and in applying for admission.
Cal State Apply is free to use. The student will only pay the application fee charged by the CSU campus when an application for admission is submitted. All personal data entered by the user is not released without the user's express consent, and data entered in a planner can be transferred easily to an online application for admission.
Admission to Credential Programs
Only students admitted to the university are eligible for admission to the credential program. It is highly recommended that prospective students attend a group advising session or schedule an individual advising session with one of our admissions advisors. Visit our Credential Program Admissions webpage for more details.
Admission to Masters Programs
Program admissions requirements vary between programs. Please review the program website of your choice for specific requirements and the most current admissions deadlines. Assistance with the admissions process is available from the program coordinator or program admission advisor. Visit the Masters and Advanced Credentials page for more details.
