Welcome to the First Peoples Center
The Santos Manuel Student Union First Peoples Center was proudly established in 2017 and is here to serve the greater campus community, through education, advocacy, and social justice. The FPC focuses on creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for Native American, Native Alaskan, Native Hawaiian, and other Indigenous peoples; including their allies and all university members. As well as educating and advocating on American Indian issues that are from the past and present.

Mission Statement
The First Peoples Center wants to promote and support the academic, social, and personal success of our Native students, while advocating and celebrating all Indigenous heritages. The FPC serves as a resource to the greater campus community on Indigenous culture and their adversities. We focus on academic excellence, identity development, community building, spreading awareness; and maintaining a supportive environment for our students and their allies.
Services
- Referrals for on-campus and community services.
- Programs and events that help educate folks on the American Indian community.
- A kitchen area stocked with snacks and drinks. (Microwave and refrigerator access)
- A safe, welcoming environment to hang out, study, and meet other Native American and Indigenous folks.
