Welcome to SMSU’s Coyote Lanes
The Santos Manuel Student Union offers an eight-lane bowling alley for CSUSB students, staff, faculty, and community members. You can play solo or challenge your classmates during your breaks from class. Coyote Lanes offers an engaging, collaborative, and inclusive playing experience. As part of our commitment to the student experience, we offer one free game per day to all current CSUSB students. Open Monday to Friday, our lanes provide plenty of opportunities throughout the week for you to come and roll out a strike. We offer shoe and sock rentals while bowling, and our Coyote Lanes staff will happily assist you and answer any questions or concerns. Remember to bring your physical Coyote ID card if you are a CSUSB affiliate. Thank you for visiting our website, and we hope to see you soon!

Facility Rules and Conduct Guidelines
- Players need to hand in Coyote One Card or Driver’s ID.
- To be eligible for the listed discounts, participants must be currently enrolled students, employed, or registered as alumni.
- Participants with their own equipment must still pay to utilize the lanes.
- Bowling shoes and socks are required while always bowling. Please try to keep clear of foreign matter to prevent slipping/sticking.
- Please do not walk down or step on the bowling lane.
- Please do not loft the bowling ball down the lane.
- Please return the equipment to the front desk as soon as you are done.
- Compliance with SMSU staff is always expected.
- Be ready to take your turn. Please try not to delay the game.
- Keep food and drinks off the approach (between the ball return and the foul line). Please stay in the seating area of the alley while eating. If a spill occurs, please notify SMSU staff to avoid allowing bowlers to walk through the spill.
- Do not step over the foul line. It is against the rules and can also result in the tracking of oil along the approach. This is dangerous and ruins the enjoyment of the game for others.
- Throw only one (1) ball at a time to prevent ball or lane damage.
- Please roll the ball, do not drop it!
- Please refrain from using someone else’s ball unless given permission.
- Yield the bowler to your side if you are both up at the same time.
- Stand off the approach and out of the line of sight of the other bowler until they have finished.
- Do not intrude on the adjacent lanes in any way. Please refrain from throwing your ball onto the wrong lane, standing, playing on another lane’s approach, or doing anything infringing on the adjacent bowlers’ lane.
- Please be courteous to others around you.
- Re-rack your bowling balls after you are done playing.
- No roughhousing or horse playing in the facilities or near the lanes.
