RIGs is a community of team-based collaboration, especially cross disciplinary collaborations. These types of collaborations have become the expected way to solve complex, multifactorial problems in various topic areas such as obesity, the opioid crisis, and climate change. Not only does working in teams contribute to the formation of new knowledge but it can have a large impact on individual investigators as it opens new areas of fields of study, offers new opportunities (e.g., scientific collaborative grants), and provides new support systems and accountability for research. If RIGs is of interest to you, stay tuned as the program is changing in exciting ways. An update is coming soon.
