Overview

Purpose

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused Cal State San Bernardino to transform in unprecedented ways. It has also provided an opportunity to reshape our university for the better in a post-pandemic environment, both academically and operatively.

In response to this opportunity, Post-Pandemic Planning Committees have been formed. These committees include a steering committee and eight subcommittees, each with their own roles and responsibilities. The subcommittees will assess CSUSB students' academic, financial, career, technical, housing needs and overall well-being in a post-pandemic context, and make recommendations based on data and answers to a series of questions.

Definition

Post-pandemic refers to Stage 4 and beyond. According to California’s Pandemic Resilience Roadmap and the San Bernardino County Readiness and Recovery Plan, stage 4 is when highest risk workplaces are re-opened, stay-at-home order are lifted and therapeutics are in place. This is when we resume in-person live concerts, sports events and convention center activities.
