Parking Citations and Impoundment

Citation Information

Parking citations are issued to those vehicles violating sections of the California Vehicle Code related to parking, and/or the University's Ordinances. Parking citations are issued to the vehicle, not to a person. Parking citations must be paid or appealed within 21 days of issuance, or the following may occur:

  • Late penalties will be assessed
  • Student hold on campus, affecting registration, grades, transcripts, and graduation in accordance with CSU Executive Order 145
  • DMV Registration hold

Impounded Vehicles

All impounded vehicles will need to be released by this agency prior to the registered owner or legal owner taking possession from the tow company.

Please complete the following form, Impound Hearing Request to request a hearing, which will be held Monday through Friday, during normal business hours. Hearing and notification of the request will be made within 2 business days. There will be a $125.00 release fee, paid to this department, plus impound fees with the tow company, which will be paid to them upon pick up of the vehicle.
