Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act

On December 23, 2024, “The Stop Campus Hazing Act” was enacted and changed the Jeanne Clery disclosure of Campus Security Policy & Campus Crime Statistics Act name to the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act.  The goal and objective of the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety is to ensure students, prospective students, parents, and employees have access to accurate information regarding crimes committed on the campus and along with campus security procedures.

The Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act requires institutions of higher education to comply with certain campus safety and security related requirements as a condition of their participation in the Title IV and HEA programs.  The Jeanne Clery and Campus Safety Act will continue to be required to compile statistics for incidents of dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking and to include certain policies, procedures, and programs and programs pertaining to these incidents in their annual security report.

Moreover, hazing is a reportable crime and specific policies, procedures, programs, and statistics pertaining to hazing incidents will be included in the annual security report
