Five-time world and international boxing champion Mia St. John kicks off the 2017-18 Conversations on Diversity series on Tuesday, Oct. 24, from noon-1:30 p.m. in the Santos Manuel Student Union.
“The Underrepresentation of Women in Computer Science and Engineering” will be the next Yotie Talk presented by Cal State San Bernardino’s University Diversity Committee on Thursday, Oct. 19, in the John M. Pfau from 1-2 p.m.
Dancing, food, music and activities will be part of the annual Dia de los Muertos celebration at Cal State San Bernardino from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Lower Commons patio area.
Emmy award-winning actor Ron Jones will portray several characters in “The Movement: 50 Years of Love and Struggle” as part of CSUSB’s Conversations on Diversity series on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
The celebration begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Santos Manuel Student Union Tickets are $6 and are available at the ASI box office. Fifty free tickets will be available to students on a first-come, first-serve basis.
“American Exceptionalism & American Identity Past, Present, and Future” will be presented as a brown-bag discussion with university faculty on April 19 at the John M. Pfau Library, room PL-4005, from 2-3:30 p.m.
“Democracy in the Americas and Immigration” will take place April 19 and 20 at the John M. Pfau Library, room PL 5005. The event is free and open to the public.
The 12th annual Latin American Studies Conference: Study of the Americas at CSUSB explored a variety of issues ranging from democracy, immigration, culture to identity concerning Latinos and indigenous peoples in the U.S.
