Writers Ona Gritz and Daniel Simpson will be the featured speakers at the Third Annual Ability Awareness Fair in support of Global Disability Awareness Day on Tuesday, May 22.
“Exploring Race and Class in the #MeToo Movement,” presented by Mary Texeira, CSUSB sociology professor, will take place on June 7 in the John M. Pfau Library, PL-5005.
The University Diversity Committee at CSUSB presents “Fighting Negative Stereotypes,” a lecture by Carmen Marron, a self-taught film writer, director and producer, on Oct. 9 watch her debut film “Go for It” on Oct. 3 at the John M. Pfau Library.

Sherwin Bitsui, a Diné (Navajo) from the Navajo Reservation in White Cone, Ariz, will present his poetry at Cal State San Bernardino on Thursday, Nov. 1, at 6 p.m. in the John M. Pfau Library.
The panel, with Dr. Yasser Abu Jamei, a Palestinian psychiatrist and director of the Gaza Community Mental Health Programs, and Liliana Conlisk-Gallegos, professor of communication studies, will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 13, in CE-105 at 6 p.m.
The grant will be used in several areas to facilitate a culture of equity and diversity within the faculty through comprehensive policy changes concerning recruitment, hiring, promotion and tenure in STEM-related programs.
Canceled: Nyle Fort will present “Race, Protest and Democracy” as part of Cal State San Bernardino’s Conversations on Diversity series on Feb. 7 at the Santos Manuel Student Union Events Center.
