Joining the University Honors Program
The University Honors Program welcomes applications from current CSUSB students who have at least 2 years of study left at CSUSB. The reason for that cutoff is due to our curriculum, which requires students to spend at least 4 semesters taking a couple upper division GE courses and several 1-unit research workshops that support our students as they work on their honors theses.
Joining the University Honors Program may require you to tweak your MyCAP so that we can place you in our Honors courses, but our staff is here to help you with that when you are accepted.
Program Admission
The application includes a student resume, applicant-created meme with a short statement describing the applicant, and a brief essay in response to a prompt. This is completed entirely online and can be accessed with the link below.
A note about GPA- UHP does not discriminate based on GPA but we recommend a GPA of at least 3.3. We will review applications from students with a GPA below 3.3 but an interview may be requested in addition to an application.
