If you are an outstanding CSBS student, you may have what it takes to be one of our tutors.
All Applicants should have:
- Strong writing and interpersonal skills
- Responsibility and maturity
- A major within the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences
- An Overall GPA of 3.50 or higher and
- A Junior, Senior, or Graduate classification level
The following is also required for applicants wishing to provide the following tutoring services:
- Writing Tutoring: Knowledge of APA and/or Chicago citation style
- Statistics Tutoring: Knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics; and knowledge of data analysis programs (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R, LISREL, and Excel)
- Research Methods Tutoring: Knowledge of study designs and research methodology (e.g., qualitative vs quantitative research; correlational vs experimental research, between-subjects design vs within-subjects design, etc).
Tutoring positions pay $17.50/hour for undergraduates and $19.50/hour for graduate students. Students may work up to 20 hours/week.
