The CSBS Student Success Center (SSC) empowers students throughout their academic experience. We offer a variety of services to CSBS students to ensure academic and personal success. From free tutoring to monthly academic workshops, the SSC provides students with the tools and resources they need to succeed. We also collaborate with many campus resources and ensure students know what is available and how to access services. Whether you need guidance academically or personally, we are here to help and point you in the right direction.

How to Register for Classes |
Students may register for courses over myCoyote during their assigned registration appointment. |
How to Enroll to a Wait List | When using Class Search and selecting classes for the enrollment shopping cart, check the box to wait list if the class is full. |
How to Submit a Permission Request to Add | Permission To Add a Class is required for the following reasons: Closed Class, Prerequisites, Add After Census, Overload Request, and Simultaneous Enrollment. |
How to Submit a Permission Request to Drop | Permission To Drop a Class is required After Census or for Extenuating Circumstances. |
How to Submit a Course Repeat Request |
A request to repeat a course is needed to enroll for a third time, if a class has been taken 2 times prior and either failed or received a N/C each time. |
Grade Forgiveness |
Grade forgiveness is the process whereby a new grade replaces a former grade when calculating GPA. The first attempt will remain on the transcript, with a footnote indicating the the course has been repeated and the grade discounted (replaced). The first attempt will not be calculated in the GPA or units earned. |
Leave of Absence | A Leave of Absence (LOA) is required to remain active at CSUSB when a student is off for more than one semester. The LOA covers both emergent and planned interruptions or situations. With an approved LOA, students can maintain enrollment eligibility and current degree requirements. |
Academic Advising | Connect with academic advisors for assistance with course planning. Drop-in advising is offered in-person (University Hall, Room 329), or via Zoom. |
