In this video, we demonstrate how to use the Boolean operators AND, OR, and NOT to broaden or narrow database searches.

Vocabulary

  • Database: A searchable and organized collection of electronic information. Library databases typically contain published sources or information about published sources.
  • Boolean Operators: words (AND, OR, NOT) used to combine or exclude keywords in a search phrase. Boolean operators narrow or broaden a search.
