Meredith Conroy (political science) was part of a team that analyzed the latest trends in upcoming congressional and gubernatorial elections, and Brian Levin (criminal justice, emeritus), commented on the extended deployment of the National Guard in Washington, D.C. Publishing their research recently were Mark Agars and Gino Howard (psychology), Fabián A. Borges (political science), Teresa Velásquez (anthropology), Daniel MacDonald and Yasemin Dildar (economics), and Anahid Modrek (psychology).

Two first-generation students – Carmen Uribe, master’s in psychology, and Lidia Albarran, bachelor’s in social work – are being recognized for research excellence, community impact and a shared drive to expand opportunity. Uribe is the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences’ Outstanding Graduate Student, and Albarran is the college’s Outstanding Undergraduate Student.

Now a champion for Native culture and community, she continues to give back while carrying forward a legacy rooted in education and tradition.

The Bachelor of Arts in Music Therapy is a new degree program offered by the College of Arts and Letters.

The new program will prepare students for careers in healthcare settings through accredited, hands-on training that blends music, psychology and clinical practice. It is designed to prepare graduates for Board Certification in Music Therapy and includes on-campus coursework, followed by a supervised clinical internship.

Elizabeth Musgrove, the chief of Student Services for the California Department of Rehabilitation and an alumna of Cal State San Bernardino, came to campus to see first firsthand the university’s disability inclusion efforts and resources for Indigenous students, and to reconnect with faculty.
