Científico Latino

Científico Latino aims to help undergraduate, graduate, and professional students by providing mentorship, open-access resources on scholarships, fellowships and blog posts on professional development.

National Latinx Psychological Association

The NLPA’s mission is to create a supportive professional community that advances psychological education and training, science, practice, and organizational change to enhance the health, mental health, and well-being of Hispanic/Latinx populations. The NLPA website offers information about programs and networking, training opportunities, and more.

Psicólogos Latinos Avanzando Nuestros Servicios

PLANS’s mission is to support the growth and success of Latino undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students interested in becoming licensed psychologists. PLANS offers community and connection to mentors, networking, and resources.

Conference Quick Links

The following are organizations that host conferences in which lab members have presented research.

American Psychological Association Convention

The APA’s annual conference is an opportunity to learn, explore the latest research, and network with leaders in the field of psychology. Proposals for the August 2022 convention are due in January.

Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies Convention

ABCT's annual convention is an opportunity to share and learn about the latest research on behavioral, cognitive, and biological evidenced-based approaches to behavioral health. The 2022 convention will take place in November submissions are due in March.

Association for Psychological Science Convention

The APS’s annual convention brings together psychological researchers and academics to share their research in the field of psychological science. Proposals for the May 2022 convention are due in January (symposia) and February (flash talks and posters).

National Latinx Psychology Association Conference

The NLPA's annual conference features presentations on research that advances psychological education, science, and practice to enhance the health, mental health, and well-being of Hispanic/Latinx populations. The annual conference typically takes place in October.

National Multicultural Conference 7 Summit

The NMCS conference and summit take place every 2 years and are hosted by four divisions of the APA. The conference and summit allow for an exchange of ideas and dissemination of knowledge by experts in multicultural psychology. The next gathering will take place in 2024.

Western Psychological Association Conference

The WPA annual convention is an opportunity to stay up to date on research and scholarship in the behavioral sciences and network with students and professionals in the Western United States. Submission deadlines for the 2022 convention are in January.

Immigration Equality - LGBTQ Immigrant Rights

Immigration Equality is an LGBTQ and HIV-positive immigrant rights organization that provides direct legal services, policy advocacy, and impact litigation to end discrimination in U.S. immigration law.

Stop AAPI Hate

Stop AAPI Hate is a nonprofit organization that runs the Stop AAPI Hate Reporting Center, which tracks incidents of hate and discrimination against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States. Report an incident or find out other ways to support Stop AAPI Hate at this site.

Find a CBT Therapist Directory

ABCT’s Find-a-Therapist services provides access to therapists who have met the requirements of membership in ABCT and are trained in cognitive and behavioral techniques. Providers listed in the directory can be sorted by location, populations served, areas of specialty, and telehealth access.

Grounding Space for Queering Racial Equity Summit

This online grounding space is available to be read by anyone grieving and processing the Black lives lost to anti-Black violence, gender violence, and white supremacist imperialism. The page is moderated by the Rainbow Pride Youth Alliance and API Equality LA.

National Alliance on Mental Illness

NAMI is an alliance of local and state organizations who raise awareness and provide support and education to build better lives for those affected by mental illness.

Partners Against Violence
