
CSUSB held its 17th fall commencement on Dec. 9, with about 1,100 students participating in the three graduation ceremonies held at the Coussoulis Arena.

CSUSB’s Palm Desert Campus experienced a significant milestone in fall 2013 when it first began offering four-year degrees. In June 2017, a number of them became the first four-year students to graduate from PDC.

The LGBTQA Faculty, Staff and Students Association at Cal State San Bernardino will celebrate the annual Lavender Graduation on Sunday, May 20, at the Santos Manuel Student Union.

The Black Faculty, Staff and Student Association at CSUSB will host the annual ceremony at 10 a.m. June 2 at Coussoulis Arena.

The Association of Latino Faculty, Staff and Students at Cal State San Bernardino will hold the annual Latino Graduation ceremony at 4 p.m. June 2 in Coussoulis Arena.

The celebration on Friday, June 8, will be hosted by the university’s Veterans Success Center, and will take place in the Obershaw Dining Room in the Upper Commons.

About 125 students were honored at the 25th annual Black Graduation held recently by the CSUSB Black Faculty, Staff and Student Association at Coussoulis Arena.

Luis and Wendy Castaneira, both first-generation college students, will graduate together — each with honors — on Thursday, June 14. Luis will receive a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Wendy with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

The university will surpass 100,000 graduates during its five commencement ceremonies on Thursday and Saturday, June 14 and 16, when more than 3,500 students are expected to participate.
