CSUSB Veterans Success Center (VSC) supports former, current and future service members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their dependents under the leadership of alumnus Agustin Ramirez ’07, U.S. Navy veteran and director of the VSC.

CSUSB’s Veterans Success Center offers a writing program directed specifically toward veterans and their family members. The result, 10 years on, is a trove of published books, regular appearances at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books and a collection of author-veterans who range from poets to novelists to screenwriters.

Sahmae Jackson, a student veteran in the CSUSB Career and Technical Education master’s program, has been named the Trustee Emeritus Murray L. Galinson Scholar for the donor-funded CSU Trustees’ Award and will receive a $9,000 scholarship.
