CSUSB alumna Alyssa Silva started an educational podcast, called “Educated,” with the goal of gaining more experience for her resume and providing a safe space for students to chat about things happening in their lives.

As the COVID-19 pandemic curtailed large gatherings of any kind, Lacey Kendall saw a need to help local churches stream their services. With technology she and three friends developed, and with help from some CSUSB students and the community, Kendall is seeking to help historic Black churches in Riverside and San Bernardino counties go virtual.

Morales and Palm Desert Campus Dean Jake Zhu participated in the program, “Destination Talent Coachella Valley – The New Realities in Higher Education,” hosted by OneFuture Coachella Valley and the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce, and sponsored by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. The program was originally livestreamed Jan. 25.

Brian Levin (criminal justice) was interviewed for his perspective on the violent political protests by extremists supporting President Trump, Pablo Gomez (psychology) co-authored a paper that was recently published, and Katherine Gray will again be a judge for the Netflix show “Blown Away.”

The certificate in hospitality management program will run from May 3-Oct. 29.
