The expertise David Yaghoubian (history), Brian Levin (criminal justice) and a study by Daniel MacDonald and Yasemin Dildar (economics) were highlighted by news media over the weekend.
Some 22 faculty, staff and students at CSUSB took advantage of a three-day institute to learn “R,” a programming environment used primarily for computational statistics, which was facilitated by Michael Tsiang, who teaches statistics at UCLA.
Teams will combine their knowledge and ideas to solve real problems during the main event on May 23, from 5:30-10 p.m., at the CSUSB Visual Arts Building patio and Room 101. Intent-to-compete forms are due April 30.
The event, “What’s Next? Using My Communication Studies Degree” will feature panelists, expert speakers, an awards banquet and resources for professional and academic careers in the field of communication studies.
