Co-hosted with the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools on Sept. 30, the event featured free books, face painting, balloons, crafts, snacks and literacy presentations and a musical performance.
The university is one of 16 recipients will receive a portion of a $6 million grant from Kaiser Permanente Southern California.
The Multicultural Book and Family Festival will take place Sunday, April 28, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the university’s Santos Manuel Student Union.
