CSUSB’s Theatre Arts Department performed Mariposa/Butterfly for a captivated young audience from the on-campus Children’s Center.

The play "Mariposa / Butterfly," performed by CSUSB’s Department of Theatre Arts on Oct. 10 for the university's Children's Center, uses vibrant storytelling to teach children the importance of connection beyond language and borders. Directed by Johanna Smith, the production will be touring local elementary schools this fall and inspiring young audiences, continuing a legacy of children’s theater that began at CSUSB in 1965.

The Center for Cyber & AI’s open house will give attendees the opportunity to explore various interactive exhibits throughout the halls of Jack Brown Hall, engage with campus STEM clubs, and meet representatives from on-campus programs and local companies.

CSUSB will participate in the annual drill that simulates a major earthquake, encouraging students, faculty and staff to “Drop, Cover and Hold On.” Also as part of the day, the Department of Geological Sciences and College of Natural Sciences will host an informational fair on earthquake safety and preparedness.
