The CSUSB School of Entrepreneurship (SOE) and the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship’s Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center (CVWBC) have created a new partnership with the City of Indio’s new Business Connect initiative. Launched by the city of Indio’s Economic Development Department, the Indio Business Connect (IBC) program aims to meet the evolving needs of the city’s thriving business community.

Fully funded by the city’s Economic Development Department, IBC offers a comprehensive range of services, resources and events – all designed to empower local businesses, fuel growth and strengthen the overall economic vitality of Indio. This innovative initiative is a reflection of the city’s commitment to building a strong, resilient and prosperous business environment.

IBC will equip businesses with the resources and connections they need to succeed. By joining this newly launched program, new businesses will automatically gain free membership to IBC, unlocking exclusive benefits, such as networking opportunities, access to business development resources and invitations to special events aimed at promoting collaboration and innovation.

IBC is not just a support system – it is a pathway to building lasting relationships within the local business ecosystem, helping members stay informed, grow their customer base and navigate challenges with the backing of the city’s dedicated support network.

“Our collaboration with the city’s economic development team, as well as city council leaders, brings together an innovative approach to assisting entrepreneurs from all backgrounds,” said Ezekiel Bonillas, assistant professor of entrepreneurship at CSUSB. “Through our CVWBC, we’ll tailor solutions to women- and minority-owned entrepreneurs. Moreover, our School of Entrepreneurship will bring world-class expertise to help established companies navigate the ever-evolving complexities in a fast-changing environment. We’re thrilled to partner with the city of Indio to support a vibrant entrepreneurial community by providing local businesses with the resources, connections, and expertise they need to thrive."
