Certificate Program
The Online Certificate Program in Healthcare Spanish prepares you to successfully interact with members of the Hispanic community as you enhance your oral and written competency in professional Spanish and develop a deeper understanding of Hispanic cultures. You can begin the program in Fall or Spring and complete it in 3-4 semesters, depending on your level of Spanish.
Pre-requisites
You need one of the following:
SPAN 1112 (or equivalent transfer credit) is a first year second-semester college Spanish course.
Spanish AP Exam: Score 4 or higher.
Spanish Placement Exam: If you are a native speaker of Spanish with no prior Spanish coursework, take the Spanish Placement Exam (it’s free & can be taken any time!).
Note: If you are a fluent native speaker of Spanish, you might be able to test out of the first certificate course (Span 2251) by taking the Spanish Placement Exam and begin the program with Span 2252.
Note: If you are a non-native speaker of Spanish with no prior coursework in Spanish, then you might need to complete the pre-requisite courses first.
