Welcome to the Master of Arts in Education program at California State University, San Bernardino! Our program empowers educators to expand their teaching practice and assume leadership roles in diverse educational settings. Focusing on transformative education, our program equips teachers with the skills and knowledge to foster meaningful change and promote effective learning.

The MA in Education program at CSUSB aims to prepare educators for leadership roles at school and district levels. The program emphasizes inquiry and reflective practices, enabling teachers to evaluate and innovate educational practices critically.

Program Details

  • Start Term: Fall or Spring
  • Units: The program consists of 30 units. Students can transfer up to 12 units from CSUSB's credential programs or 9 units from other credential or master’s programs.
  • Program Length: You can complete the program in as few as two semesters with 12 transfer credits, or you can tailor it to your schedule for flexible pacing.
  • Total Classes: 6 core courses and four electives.
  • Instruction: Hybrid (online and face-to-face classes)
  • Location: Face-to-face courses held on the San Bernardino campus, with remote participation via Zoom.
  • Schedule: Classes meet once a week:
    • 4:00 PM - 6:45 PM
    • 7:00 PM - 9:45 PM
    • 5:30 PM - 8:15 PM (Monday-Thursday)
