***A maximum of 24 units taken through Open University may be applied toward an undergraduate degree; a maximum of 9 Open University units may be applied toward a graduate program (subject to approval by the appropriate department). Visiting International Students are those who currently hold an I-20 from another institution and are allowed to be concurrently enrolled at CSUSB.
- Choose your course(s) from the CSUSB course schedule.
- Obtain the Open University registration form:
- Download the Open University registration form.
- Or, pick up an Open University registration form in person at the College of Extended and Global Education, Center for Global Innovation, Room 301B.
- Instructor and Department chair approvals/signatures will only be required if: 1) the class is full, 2) the student does not meet the prerequisite requirements, 3) the student is attempting to add during the third week of the term, or 4) the course is graduate level course.
- All 6000-level courses require approval signatures from the Instructor, Department chair, and dean of Graduate Studies.
- Return your registration form with required signatures, if applicable, to the College of Extended and Global Education along with your method of payment: cash, check, money order, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express). - Submit an approved Cross Enrollment letter from your home institution.
- Submit an official passing TOEFL/IELTS score:
- Undergraduate- TOEFL 61 Internet-based / 500 paper-based or IELTS 5.5
- Graduate-TOEFL 79/80 Internet-based / 550 paper-based or IELTS 6.0
- Once your registration is processed, an email confirmation will be sent within 24 hours.
