Civic Engagement at CSUSB

Voice Your Choice is a civic engagement campaign aimed to provide you with education and information on the 2024 U.S. General Election happening on Tuesday, November 5th. Check out all the events and resources that will help you register to vote, and tools that will guide you on what to expect to see on the ballot. Additionally, find out different ways to be involved in your community!

CSUSB is participating in the statewide competition: California Ballot Bowl, a friendly competition among California’s major higher education systems, including the California Community Colleges (CCC), California State University (CSU), University of California (UC), and the Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities (AICCU).

LyftRide-share Discounts to go Vote!

Lyft will be providing free rides to students who want to go to a polling location to vote early or on the day of the election!

Use code "CAMPUSPARTNER" on the Lyft app for your one-time free ride to a polling location.

It is recommended that you ride with a friend to be able to ride for free both to and from the polls!

CSUSB will also serve as a voting location at both the San Bernardino and Palm Desert Campuses.

Ballot Drop-Off Box on Campus

CSUSB will have a Ballot Drop-Off Box in front of the flagpoles located at the main campus entrance on University Pkwy. Voters using a drop-off location must deliver their ballot no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Night (November 5th). Below is a list of other Ballot Drop-off locations in the area:

Important Dates

  • September 17, 2024 -- National Voter Registration Day
  • October 7, 2024 -- Your county elections office will begin mailing ballots
  • October 8, 2024 -- Ballot drop-off locations open
  • October 7 to October 11, 2024 -- National Voter Education Week
  • October 21, 2024 -- Last Day to Register to Vote Online
  • November 5, 2024 -- Election Day

Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by November 12, 2024.
