About Carson Fajardo '25
Meet Carson Fajardo, the dedicated ASI President at CSUSB and a fourth-year Administration major with a concentration in Management. Carsonās journey with Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) began in October 2022 when he joined as the housing representative on the board of directors. During this time, Carson thrived and recognized the opportunity for change and advocacy within ASI, sparking his passion for student leadership.
Before his role in ASI, Carson served as the Residence Hall Association (RHA) coordinator, where he further honed his skills in student programming and advocacy. RHA is the student government for CSUSBās residential communities, advocating for students at various levels and providing a platform to address their concerns.
Driven by his desire to continue advocating for students, Carson joined ASI. Last year, he was selected to represent CSUSB at the Cal State Student Association (CSSA), where he advocated for students on a system-wide level across the CSU. This experience served as a turning point in his leadership, reinforcing the importance of using his voice to drive positive change.
Now, as ASI President, Carson proudly serves as the voice of CSUSB students, representing their needs on campus-wide committees and working closely with staff, faculty, and the CSU system. He is also the CEO of ASI, leading the board of directors in all initiatives. Carsonās overarching goal as ASI President is to ensure that all voices on campus are heard on local, system-wide, and statewide scales.
This year, Carson is focused on enhancing student engagement, fostering Coyote spirit, and strengthening the connection among students at CSUSB. He is committed to creating a vibrant, collaborative campus community where students can thrive.
Carson believes that ASI is more than just an advocacy organization. While advocacy is a major part of ASIās mission, he emphasizes that ASI also plays a key role in hosting exciting events and contributing to the overall student experience. His leadership reflects the belief that ASI can make a difference by supporting both student needs and creating memorable experiences on campus.
