International Travel
- All International Travel will need the approval of the campus president.
- International business travelers are required to have foreign travel insurance, so we recommend Concur submissions at least 30 days in advance of travel.
New UK Entry Requirements Effective January 8, 2025
Starting January 8, 2025, the UK government will introduce a new entry requirement for all travelers arriving in the UK for stays of less than 6 months. All travelers must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before traveling. This applies to USA passport holders, as the visa-on-arrival option will no longer be available.
Here are some key details about the new ETA:
- Entries: Multiple entries allowed
- Maximum Stay: 180 days
- Validity: 2 years
- Travel Purpose: Tourism, Business, Transit
- Cost: Currently $20.00 (subject to change at government discretion)
The ETA application process is simple and can be completed online. Applications can be made starting November 27, 2024, and the minimum processing time is 2 days.
For assistance with the ETA application, you can use Sherpa — a third-party service that helps travelers with the required process. Please note that Sherpa is not affiliated with CSUSB or Christopherson.
