
In being awarded second prize in the 2024 Gerald D. Nash History Journal Competition-Graduate Print Division by the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society, “History in the Making” marked its seventh-consecutive year of being recognized nationally.

The 16th edition of the journal was awarded second place in the 2023 Gerald D. Nash History Journal Competition – Graduate Print Division by the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society. It marks the sixth consecutive year that the journal has been honored by Phi Alpha Theta.

Arianna Huhn (anthropology) was interviewed in an article about the Anthropology Museum’s celebration of Afro-Oaxacan culture, Brian Levin (criminal justice) was quoted in articles about the latest FBI hate crime report, and Gisela Bichler (criminal justice) was part of a team that published a study on network structures that could aid in law enforcement interdiction of covert networks.

Jeremy Murray and Tiffany Jones (history) Brian Levin (criminal justice), Sina Bastami (lecturer, geography and environmental studies), and Mike Stull (entrepreneurship) were mentioned in recent news coverage.

History in the Making: A Journal of History has been awarded third prize in the 2021 Gerald D. Nash History Graduate Journal competition, given by the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society.

History in the Making: A Journal of History has been awarded first place in the 2020 Gerald D. Nash History Graduate Journal competition, given by the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society.

The latest edition of Transmotion: An Online Journal of Indigenous Studies, a Cal State San Bernardino-sponsored journal, is now available online.

The journal is an annual publication of the university’s Alpha Delta Nu Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society, and is sponsored by the CSUSB Department of History.
