Three university-wide awards – Distinguished Alumni, Emerging Leader and Coyote Spirit – will be presented, as well as the Paw Print Awards, which honor esteemed alumni from each of the university’s five colleges.
Juan Carlos Luna, BA, liberal studies, ’02, MA, bilingual education,’04, MA, educational administration, ’06, will receive the Paw Prints Award. He is being recognized for his leadership and service in the educational sector.

Alejandre ’88, ’93, was awarded State Superintendent of the Year by the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA). He will be formally recognized at the ACSA Leadership Summit in San Diego on Friday, Nov. 4.
The Cal State San Bernardino Alumni Association has welcomed three new members to its Board of Directors for the 2020-23 term: Danny Bilson ’78, Carly McCarty ’11 ’20, and DeMarco Washington ’18.
David C. Hansen, the superintendent of Riverside Unified School District and a CSUSB alumnus, was recently named the 2019 Superintendent of the Year by the Association of California School Administrators.
