How to Apply to Cal State San Bernardino
Step 1
You may submit an application online at CalState.edu/apply. Use your last/family name, first name and date of birth as it will appear on your passport. You must also include a valid e-mail address in your application for future communication from CSUSB International Admissions. There is a non-refundable, non-transferable application fee of $70. You will work with the MBA Office to complete all of your application requirements, including a 30 minute virtual application interview. You can contact the MBA office via email at mba@csusb.edu to obtain a link to schedule the interview. If you have not been admitted within that term, you will be required to submit a new application.
Step 2
You may mail your official transcripts to:
International Admissions, Center for Global Innovation, 3rd Floor
California State University, San Bernardino
5500 University Parkway
San Bernardino, CA 92407
International applicants must submit a statement of financial responsibility to be considered for admission to the university. International students are also required to submit evidence of adequate medical/hospital insurance to the international student advisor.
Step 3
The university will first review your application and qualify you as a student. You will be emailed if any further documentation is needed. Once the university has qualified you as a student, your application will go to the MBA Office for review. Should you be admitted into the program, you will receive an email from the MBA Office with your official acceptance letter attached. This email will contain your Coyote ID number (your student ID number) and CSUSB email account information, as well as other important information regarding your next steps. Be sure to reply to that email to confirm your attendance. Once you have confirmed your attendance, you will receive an email regarding class enrollment. Make sure you reply to that email confirming your enrollment. The MBA Office will enroll you in classes for your first semester in the MBA program.
Step 4
Activate your MyCoyote account. Applicants can view their admissions status by logging in to their MyCoyote account and clicking on "Student Center". This is where applicants can determine if there are any other documents to turn in to International Admissions or any holds on their account. Applicants can also make tuition payments online in Student Center in their MyCoyote account.
The CSU uses separate requirements and application filing dates as guidelines for admission to "international students."
An applicant whose education has been in a language other than English must provide an English Proficiency test score (take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL ). This test is administered in most foreign countries and official test scores must be received by the CSUSB before admission to the university can be granted. Visit the ETS TOEFL site for more information about TOEFL, including testing times and locations.
Feel free to contact the MBA Office at (909) 537-5288 or e-mail an International Admissions Counselor at international@csusb.edu if you have any questions about your application process.
