CSUSB’s two teams – AxoTech and Solubrin – competed in both of the Product Tracks and took home first place in both tracks, winning $25,000 for each team.
The unique program, which launched in fall 2020, is one of less than 15 existing worldwide.

Jones (psychology) was part of a research team that examined apathy’s relationship to depression among patients with Parkinson’s disease.
The event featured various contests for the students including an elevator pitch competition, a financial statement competition, a Quickbooks competition and a marketing plan competition. The event also had the students create their own businesses and set up booths where they could market and sell their products as part of a competition.

The Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino has sponsored the VE Regional Tradeshow and Competition program annually since 2018. The 2023 event will mark the first time the program has been held at CSUSB.
The grant will provide additional critical and targeted services to minority-owned, small businesses in the Inland Empire, along with focusing on financial management and achieving growth.
