Cal State San Bernardino will host Coyote Cares Day on Saturday, Feb. 22, inviting students, alumni, faculty and staff from both the San Bernardino and Palm Desert campuses to participate in a day of community service.
With a strong focus on community-building and academic success, CSUSB’s Student Veterans Organization (SVO) has cultivated a supportive environment for student-veterans, dependents of veterans, active servicemembers, ROTC cadets and military supporters.
Reneisha S. Wilkes, coordinator of the Renaissance Scholars Program at CSUSB, has appeared on the show 10 times over the years to talk about her community service efforts. She appeared as one of “The Lucky 13.” The show aired on May 25; the segment with Wilkes can be viewed online.
CSUSB kinesiology student Evelyn Atencio and CSUSB psychology alumna Bianca Gonzalez are changing the lives of local youth through the nonprofit Big Brothers Big Sisters, which has led Atencio to win an award.
