A Hispanic Heritage Month look back: Dia Latino celebrated the various cultures of Latin America.
About 500 people celebrated Mexican Independence Day at CSUSB on Sept. 15 with festivities that included cultural performances of music and dance, and featured the Mexican Consul with the ringing of a bell and cry for patriotism or “El Grito.”
CSUniverse, a new digital publication from the California State University, is now available online, and CSUSB is represented in the inaugural edition.
CSUSB, LEAD, ASI and the Mexican Consulate in San Bernardino are hosting a celebration of Mexican Independence Day with the traditional ringing of a bell and “El Grito,” the cry for patriotism on Sept. 15, from 5-9 p.m., by the Consul of Mexico.
Two free movie nights, presented by the John M. Pfau Library and the Associated Students Inc., are set for July 11 and Aug. 8 on the library lawn. And the popcorn is free!
The Free Summer Movie Series at Cal State San Bernardino concludes on Thursday, Aug. 24, with the screening of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast.”
Late Night is a free welcome-back event featuring a festive night of games, food, giveaways and entertainment. Late Night takes place 7 p.m.-midnight Sept. 19 at the CSUSB Student Recreation and Wellness Center.
The center, which has long been requested by students, is located in the annex, or “wedge,” of the university’s John M. Pfau Library.
