History in the Making: A Journal of History has been awarded first place in the 2020 Gerald D. Nash History Graduate Journal competition, given by the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society.
The Department of History will host its fall graduation celebration and its Phi Alpha Theta “Ritual of Induction” on Friday, Dec. 4, at 6 p.m. via Zoom.
The journal is an annual publication of the university’s Alpha Delta Nu Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society, and is sponsored by the CSUSB Department of History.
The journal won the 2019 Gerald D. Nash History Journal First Prize, awarded by the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society.
“The Rise of Women, #MeToo, and Why it Matters,” presented by the CSUSB College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, also pointed to the importance of social science research to frame the debate in ways to help find solutions.
