
In celebration of Black History Month, the Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art presents “Personal to Political: Celebrating the African American Artists of Paulson Fontaine Press.” The exhibition will be on display virtually starting Saturday, Feb. 6.

“Art Hour with Lana and Guests: Season 2” is hosted by RAFFMA’s student assistants as they welcome special guests to discuss various topics that are art, Egyptian, and museum related. First session is Feb. 4.

Brian Levin (criminal justice) was interviewed for his perspective on the violent political protests by extremists supporting President Trump, Pablo Gomez (psychology) co-authored a paper that was recently published, and Katherine Gray will again be a judge for the Netflix show “Blown Away.”

The second season of the glassblowing competition show “Blown Away,” which features CSUSB art professor Katherine Gray as a judge and alumna Nao Yamamoto as a contestant, premiered Jan. 22 on Netflix.

Tamara Cedré (art and design) participated in a panel about the state of photography education, and Brian Levin (criminal justice) discussed the implications of last weekend’s “Million MAGA March” in Washington, D.C.

The series, called Art Hour with Lana and Teresa, is hosted by two of RAFFMA’s student assistants where they welcome special guests weekly to discuss various art- and museum-related topics.

The Department of Art & Design celebrated on Nov. 19 the launch of its new BA in art history and global cultures program and the Art History & Global Cultures Lecture Series with the inaugural lecture “Alfredo Jaar: It Is Difficult” with internationally renowned artist Alfredo Jaar.
