
The National Best Chapter Award from Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society, is its highest accolade for campus chapters. The latest honor also makes it the 12th time that CSUSB’s Theta Iota Chapter has earned the award.

Meredith Conroy (political science) co-wrote an article on women running for Congress in 2020 and how they did in their party’s primary election; Barbara Sirotnik (information and decision sciences) discussed the region’s economy; and Jeffrey Williamson (entrepreneurship) was quoted in an article about Walmart’s recent success in China.

Christina Villegas, an associate professor of political science, will be part of the 12-member National Executive Council of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Honor Society. She will serve a four-year term.
